Welcome! If you clicked on the web site, you must want to know something about us. Great! Nothing happens by accident. 

Our church was established in the fall of 1973. Following God’s divine leading Jerry and Lynda Burks moved to Truckee and, with God’s help, began the process which would take them down a miraculous path orchestrated by God. They started in their little duplex near Donner Lake. In 1978 the current church building was completed and dedicated. 

All praise belongs to the Lord God Almighty! The Truckee Christian Center is affiated with the Assembly of God Church. Our church is like a family. We love and accept on another through all of life’s joys and adversities. We pray for one another and believe God’s word. 

Pastor Jerry and Lynda Burks, founding pastors of our church, have remained steadfast over the years, still holding the vision which God placed in their hearts way back in 1973. God has done much, but He has more….much more to do. Perhaps He wants you to be a part of what He desires to do with our church in the future.
